Wow, I just woke from an incredibly enchanted sleep and started looking around, only to discover I have been neglectful of my creativity. I’m feeling a bit like I need to revamp and overhaul a lot of things this spring.
First on the list is the house cleaning, which I’m making progress on (finally). I’ve been writing things down sporadically, some good, some in need of some help.
I have always got my phone, so I have no problem keeping up the photography. It’s much easier to snap the shutter (and so quick) that I’m afraid the writing ( a more slow and thoughtful process) takes a back seat. April is National Poetry Month, and I have recited exactly one rough draft into my voice recorder, and that was at the beginning of the month.
Here is a poem I wrote (using a word cloud app) after the Parkland, Florida shooting.
And here is another cloud-poem about my Friday the 13th.
I’m still actively note-taking and making lists. Hey, maybe a good premise is a book of my outlines, character sketches, false starts, and lists? Who knows? I’m a participant in this month’s NaNoWriMo Camp, and, mid-month, have just changed my project, and am working on it.
Here’s a photo to finish up this post. I’m a photographer, as well as a (my phone just suggested rockstar) writer, so I’ll be sharing more pictures here in future posts.
Another update soon! Hope you all are enjoying a great, happy, productive (if that’s what you want/need) spring. Me, I’m going to leave you now and watch another Godfather movie. Cheers!
